Located in the centre of Venice, just an eight-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square or the Rialto Bridge, the shop L’ALTRAOTTICA presents its own brand of glasses. Its original products range from classic shapes and retro-inspired frames with a modern twist to ultra-modern designs and colours. Handmade from high-quality, eco-friendly materials, this eyewear range combines the style of Italian design with the quality of Made in Italy products.
The initial shape of a frame is machine-cut from a sheet of cellulose acetate, an organic and biodegradable material ideal for making strong, lightweight and comfortable glasses. Assembly and finishing are then carried out by hand: machining and hot milling to give curvature to the frames, insertion of hinges and metal components into the temples, tumbling and polishing.
Made with the same care and attention to detail as the L’ALTRAOTTICA series, the CompositiVe eyewear line is distinguished by the robustness of the frames made from thick cellulose acetate sheets produced exclusively for this collection.
